Become a WGA Apprentice Guide

I am an apprentice Wilderness Guide and want to become a WGA member

The WGA Apprentice Guide membership is intended for trainees and early-stage wilderness guides who are actively building experience and working towards professional certification within the WGA framework.

Who is this for?

  • Trainees or interns working with a WGA-affiliated organisation or institute
  • Students following a recognised training pathway towards WGA Level 1 or higher
  • Developing guides gaining supervised field and guiding experience

What this membership is (and is not)

  • It is: a recognised developmental membership within the WGA
  • It is not: a certification level and does not allow independent guiding
